What to visit with friends and family this weekend šŖ
Letās jump in!
š Foodie Spotlight
You might have seen this from Zermatt Neoās videos, todayās spotlight isā¦
Neighbourwokās Hokkien Mee! (If youāre in Bukit Batok, donāt miss this one)
The noodles are comforting and super umami with the perfect blend of prawns, squid, and pork belly (plus I loved the sambal chili). This hokkien mee is on the wetter side, which I liked⦠and the wok hei was just right.
The $6 portion was really generous and satisfying, definitely worth the queues. Iād be a regular if I lived nearby!
šļø Top Picks of The Week!
While these are my top picks, Iād love to hear yours by replying to the email with your favourite places for me to try!
Maji Curry at Novena (Link) š
Of course I have to include a Japanese spot! Maji Curry specializes in Japanese curry rice, with rooftop seating for a chill hangout. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and itās a great spot for lunch or dinner!
Kafe Utu @ Chinatown (Link) š¦
Kafe Utu is Singaporeās first African-themed cafe (and I was super intrigued when I heard about it). Really nice food that you can go for a dinner and drinks spot with unique cocktails, but also has super good coffee for the daytime.
Keng Eng Kee Seafood @ Alexandra (Link) šļø
This Zi Char hot spot also has outlets in Tampines and Punggol! I loved the hor fun, salted egg prawns, and coffee pork ribs. Super good zi char without the hype of the big-name seafood places, so itās great secret to keep š
BistrOne36 at Boon Keng (Link) š
This women-owned bistro is a real neighbourhood secret brunch spot. Perfect if you're craving a local-meets-Western fusion, with good portions and a great vibe. Plus, their coffee and desserts get rave reviews, perfect for a chill catch-up.
šļø Whatās Newsworthy
If you guys didnāt know, GastroBeats is back and itās literally the place to be right now!
Itās running until 22 June 2025, 4pm to 11pm at Bayfront Event Space (yes, the one right by the Marina Bay, super IG-worthy). So youāve got almost a whole month to eat, chill, and repeat!
If youāre paying a visit, Iād highly recommend trying the social media star Jett Barbecueās Dino Ribs. SUPER juicy and tender!

š„³ Thatās a Wrap!
Glad you made it to the end of the newsletter!
I always want to improve my content, and Iād love to hear your feedback or recommendations simply by replying to this email.
If not have a great weekend, and let me know if you try any of the food! š
