It’s time for your weekly Belly Bites šŸ˜‹

Are you still holding onto your CDC vouchers because you haven’t found the ā€œrightā€ or ā€œmost worthā€ place to spend them at?

I got you covered with my cafe recommendations that’ll hit the spot!

  • For those looking to be a little more performative šŸ˜Œ

  • Simple brews or complex lattes - that’s up to you 🤩

  • More indulgence, just because it's the Mid-Autumn season šŸ®

🌟 Foodie Spotlight

Serving up speciality brews in old-school Bras Basah Complex, here is…

Narrative Coffee Stand ā˜•

Narrative Coffee Stand, a street down from Singapore’s National Library, is the perfect spot to settle in with your freshly borrowed book and a cup of speciality brew šŸ“š

What sets it apart is the thoughtful curation of beans from indie roasters, with each cup brewed to highlight nuanced flavours - bright, fruity notes for a refreshing lift or deeper, chocolatey tones for cosy comfort.

We tried their pour-over alongside a silky flat white, and both delivered clean, balanced profiles that will make you want another sip immediately. Paired with the calm, minimalist space, it’s a spot that makes coffee drinking feel like you have zero care in the world šŸƒ

šŸ–ļø Top Picks of The Week!

You might have heard of these places, here are a few of my favourites!

Kurasu (Link)

Kurasu’s flagship store at Waterloo has carved out its niche with clean, minimalistic vibes, and Kyoto-inspired coffee that’s refined. Their hand-brewed pour-overs are the star, with beans sourced from speciality roasters in Japan. For something more indulgent and umami, the Matcha Latte is a must. A great spot if you’re looking for a mindful coffee break in the heart of the city.

Cafe Wabi Sabi (Link)

Cafe Wabi Sabi at Everton lives up to its name with a warm, rustic setting that invites you to slow down and enjoy the little imperfections of life. Known for their hearty Sandos featuring homemade Shokupan, and a wide selection of lattes and iced teas. I’m obsessed with how gooey the Burnt Cheese Cake is!

Rookies Coffee Shop (Link)

Rookies Coffee Shop is a neighbourhood favourite that wins hearts with its laid-back, community-first feel and no-fuss approach to coffee. Their signature drinks include the Bandung Spro (Bandung + espresso) and the classic Iced White. Be sure to try their brownies - extremely fudgy and moist, the perfect balance to your bitter coffee.

Refuel Cafe (Link)

This one’s for the East side! Give the Pulled Pork Benedict a try, this comes with thick sourdough and juicy, slow-cooked pork. My drink of choice would be the Watermelon Lychee Freeze to complement Singapore’s heat. The space is bright and bustling, giving it a friendly neighbourhood vibe.
